What is UPF?
UPF, or Ultraviolet Protection Factor, measures how well fabric blocks UV radiation. A higher UPF means better protection. For example, a UPF of 50 allows only 1/50th of UV rays to pass through.
The product label indicates UPF50+ as required by GB/T 18830-2009 for labeling. Product fabric has been professionally tested by the laboratory according to the corresponding standards and the result is UPF500+, with relevant test report.
Yarn anti UV
Original special designed shaped cross section yarn of fabric, it enable the larger contact area to reflect UV rays, at the same time adding UV absorbers to the yarn can efficiently absorb UV radiation, giving the fabric excellent UV resistance.
Comfortably windproof
Wind considerably increases the effect of the cold! So, for an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
Also the hem and hood could be adjusted by drawstring.
Water-repellent component (different to being waterproof)
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes).
Pocket system
2 hand zip closed pockets.
Thoughtful design
The cuffs are designed with thumb holes which are very useful in sunny or windy weather.
The hood comes with a hair hole to make it easy for girls with long hair to wear.
